Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Streetboard collects, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
Your email address — when you create an account. We use this to authenticate you and, if your notice is approaching expiry, to send a reminder email. We do not use your email for marketing.
Contact details you choose to publish — website, phone number, or public email. These are displayed on the board as part of your notice. Only publish what you're comfortable with the public seeing.
Notice content — the text and design of your notice is stored so it can be displayed on the board. It is publicly visible for the duration the notice is live.
IP address — recorded when a notice is reported, and when a sign-in fails (with the email address that was tried, kept for 24 hours), to prevent abuse and password guessing. Not used for tracking or analytics.
Visit statistics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how Streetboard is used, for example how many people visit each board. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. For each page view it records the page address (with any personal links and codes removed), the site you came from, your approximate location (country and city), and your browser and device type. Visitors are counted with a code Vercel works out from each visit and throws away after 24 hours, so visits can't be linked to you or to each other beyond that. Statistics are only ever shown to us as totals.
On each notice we also count page views and clicks on its contact details, as daily totals, so organisers can see how their notice is doing. Nothing about who viewed or clicked is stored.
What we don't do
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not create user profiles, track you across other websites, or sell or share data for advertising.
How we use your information
- To deliver and display your notice on the board.
- To authenticate you so you can sign in and manage your notices.
- To send a single renewal reminder email before your notice expires.
- To investigate reports of policy-breaking content.
Data retention
Live notices are retained for up to 90 days from posting (or the last renewal). Expired and removed notices are retained for a further 30 days for moderation purposes, then deleted. Your email address is deleted with your notice data.
Third parties
We use Resend to send transactional emails. Your email address is passed to Resend solely for this purpose. We use Supabase for database hosting, Cloudflare R2 for image storage, and Vercel to host the website and for the visit statistics described above. No data is sold or shared with any other party.
Your rights
You can remove your notice at any time from the management page. To request deletion of your email address or any other data, contact us at hello@streetboard.app. We will respond within 30 days.
