A noticeboard for your neighbourhood
Streetboard is a simple, local noticeboard. Each neighbourhood has its own board: a place for residents, traders and community groups to share what's happening close to home.
There are no algorithms, no feeds and no social graphs. You put a notice up, people nearby see it, and it comes down by itself when it's over. That's it.
What you can post
Streetboard is for things genuinely connected to a local area. Notices go in one of three categories:
- Events: concerts, markets, classes, pop-ups, community gatherings.
- Services: local tradespeople, tutors, childcare, delivery.
- Wanted: looking for a room, a tradesperson, a second-hand item.
How it works
You design your poster in the editor, add your contact details and post it. You'll need a free account, made with your email address. From your account you can post updates to people following your notice, change an event's date, or take a notice down at any time.
Notices are visible to everyone who visits the board for that area. Events come down the day after they happen. Everything else comes down after 90 days. You can renew an event before it expires, and we'll remind you.
Moderation
Notices that break our terms of service can be reported and will be reviewed by a person. We don't accept spam, commercial advertising unrelated to the local area, or anything unlawful.
